93 Days tells the story of Nigeria's gruesome three months battle with the dreaded Ebola Virus epidemic which struck the country and some other West African cities in 2014.
The film chronicles the bravery and sacrifices of Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh, the doctor who identified patient zero, the medical personels who had primary contact with patient zero and the many other individuals who stood between a nation of 170 million people and the totally fatal Ebola virus. The film follows how events unfolded from the time the virus was first detected to the time The WHO certified Nigeria as Ebola free: a harrowing 93 days as the title of the film indicates.
One of the most ambitious project ever engaged by the Nigerian film industry, the producers released the first trailer for the movie on July 1, 2016. Watch trailer below:
The film is directed by Steve Gukas and produced by Steve Gukas, Pemon Rami, Bolanle Austen-Peters and Dotun Olakunri.
The movie's top billed cast includes Bimbo Akintola as Dr. Adadevoh, hollywood veteran, Danny Glover, Tim Reid, Somkele Iyamah Idhalam, Alastair Mackenzie, Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey, Bimbo Manuel, Charles Okafor , Gideon Okeke, Sola Oyebade and Charles Etubiebi.
Production commenced in July 27th, 2015. 93 Days is expected to storm Nigerian cinemas before the end of 2016.
