By Uzezi Ologe
Let us not flame so high
And forget our ends so nigh
Let us crouch closer to earth
To feel more intense
The warmth of the hearth
Let us not plunge so deep
And forget the surface is just so steep
Let us dance with the ripples
So to know how much easier it is
To sink than to float
Let us not live
With faces etched in frowns
But wear smiles like a gown
With a day at a time
A step at a time
A sigh at a time
To savour the small
Pleasures of life.
