Synopsis: When five top executives of a multi-billion dollar telecommunication enterprise meet for a one week leadership retreat to select the new CEO of the company, the stakes are raised when the candidates begin to die one after the other, setting the stage for suspicion, intrigues and a desperate struggle for survival and to claim the most coveted position in the company.

The CEO is a mystery/thriller coming to us from the director and producers of previous Nollywood blockbusters the Figurine, Phone Swap and October 1. The film has been positioned by its makers as the game changer: a cross-cultural phenomenon and the event which will bridge the divide between the Nigerian film industry and the rest of Africa as well as permanently bring Nollywood into the competitive arena of the global film industry.

In line with this objective, the movie features a stellar cast of actors selected from several countries including: The Republic of Benin; South Africa; Morocco; Kenya and Nigeria, and boasts of scenes shot in countries as far flung as  Ivory Coast, Kenya, South Africa, Morocco, Nigeria and Paris.

That a lot is riding on, and expected of this film is clear from the long list of major financiers including the Bank of Industry, Air France/KLM, Silverbird Cinemas, Peugeot Automobile, DStv, Adron Homes and Properties, Inagbe Grand Resort and Leisure, Africa Magic and Hip TV. Judging by the standard of previous works, anticipation is high and we hope it does not disappoint.

Golden Effects Production Studios have announced that The CEO will premiere aboard an Air France flight from Lagos to Paris on June 1, 2016 after which it will be screened as the opening show in the Nollywood Week Film Festival in Paris.
